CANDLE CARE GUIDE

The first time you burn your candle, make sure you light it long enough for the entire wax on the surface to become liquid, approximately 3 hours. This will ensure your candle has a nice, even burn and prevent the wax from tunnelling down around the wick. Burn candle on an appropriate flat heat-resistant surface. Always protect the table or surface on which the candle rests- our rose gold lid is the perfect compliment.

Use a candle snuffer to properly extinguish a candle flame. If not viable, blow gently and steadily on the flame until it is extinguished. Do not use lid to extinguish candle. Once your candle has cooled, you will want to trim the wick, ideally using a wick trimmer (you can also pinch off the excess wick with your fingers). You should always leave approximately 3mm of wick and just remove the excess soot head from the previous burn to avoid it smoking. Keeping the wick at the correct length will help your candle burn evenly, prevent it burning too fast and will increase its throw (how the candle scent fills a room). To keep candle dust-free and to preserve fragrance, place the rose gold lid on top of the candle, or in packaging after using

CANDLE SAFETY GUIDE

We want you to enjoy every moment of our botanical scented candle, however, the use of candles requires caution and awareness of the associated risks so please ensure you always follow these safety precautions.  *Never leave a candle burning out of sight and unattended. *Always ensure the candle flame is extinguished when unattended. *Avoid using in drafts areas, near an open window, air duct or fan. *Keep away from children, pets and flammable materials. *Do not burn your candle all the way down. Always leave at least 5mm of non-molten wax at the bottom. *Never burn for less than 1 hour or more than 3 hours at a time. *Ensure candle is extinguished, wax is solid and vessel is cold before handling. *If the glass becomes blackened while burning, extinguish candle, allow to cool and clean with a dry paper towel. *Do not use glass if cracked, chipped or broken. *Never allow the candle flame to come in contact with the side of the glass. *Never introduce liquids or foreign objects into candle and keep it free of wick trimmings, matches and any flammable materials.
