I’m going to ask you a tough question: Do you wholly love and accept the person you are today?
Confronting, right? But sit with it for a moment. Focus. Take a deep breath and really think about it. If your answer is a definite “no”, don’t dismay - I’ve been there too.
As an insecure teenager, I entered into the competitive modelling industry and carved out a successful career appearing in magazines and scoring prestigious television presenting roles. But behind the scenes, the constant comparison and rejection emptied me of self-esteem and self-worth.
Even when my career as a sought-after skin practitioner was skyrocketing in my 30s, my lack of self-love led me to make questionable life decisions (and enter into relationships with even more questionable men). I stopped caring for myself properly and this manifested physically through conditions like adrenal fatigue, thyroid problems and cracked teeth from stressed grinding.
It wasn’t until I spent three years following a self-care and wellbeing strategy, immersing myself in self-help books, attending healing retreats and Hay House events and receiving life coaching that I began to work on the most important relationship in my life: My relationship with myself.
Instead of focusing on my exterior, I understood deeply that beauty was about more than just slathering on products. From positive affirmations and actively making changes to cutting ties with toxic people and employing the emotional wellbeing benefits of fragrance and aromatherapy, I stopped grasping for my identity externally and aesthetically.
Now, as a qualified life coach, it’s my mission to empower other women with the tools to nurture an intimate, loving relationship with themselves. Low self-esteem, self-sabotage and a lack of self-care has a ripple effect, seeping negativity into all areas of your life. Through my life coaching, retreats and workshops, I can equip you with the knowledge and rituals that took me three years to hone and master.
From teaching you how to actively make life-altering changes, be mindful about your lifestyle and break through the negative self-belief patterns holding you back, I’ll work with you to stop the vicious cycle of putting yourself last. Because self-care is the opposite of being selfish, I weave wellbeing-boosting beauty and fragrance rituals into my life coaching practices.
