Create Your Own Herbal Posies
Since the move to the country, my family and I now have the space to enjoy a cute country garden scattered with fresh herbs and produce to include in our culinary delights and my botanical beauty recipes.
Fresh herbs can also create gorgeous and aromatic posies to feature as a fragrant centerpiece on the dinning table, they also make beautiful and aromatic gifts. I don’t know if it’s just me, but how special do you feel when someone has taken the time out of their hectic schedule to personally make something just for you .
In the Victorian era, according to author Tessa Evelegh of the book Herb Crafts- an admirer would send his love a tussie mussie. The language of herbs and flowers was carefully studied and many courtships made progress through sending and receiving (nosegays), tussie mussies.
The fragrant composition was usually significant with each flower and herb having a symbolic meaning- romantic and sentimental meanings were naturally chosen.

HOW TO CREATE A TUSSIE MUSSIE
+Use any aromatic plant material, pesticide free, scented foliage and aromatic herbs.
+Recycled Jars, Vase
+Pick herbs and flowers mid morning, after the dew has dried, but before the aroma has been dissipated by the hot sun.
+Commence with an important flower at the center and in a circle, arrange other flowers around it.
+Large fragrant leaves are lovely for the outer layer.
Create miniature tussie mussies for houseguests, and leave upon a pillowcase, or on top of linen and towels for guests to admire and smell the sweet aromatic aroma.
